Ted Brummel

Ted Brummel is our owner at SERVPRO of Southeast Grand Rapids. He joined the franchise in 2014 as a Production Technician and was quickly promoted to his position as a Project Manager due to his prior experience in restoration. After managing crews and projects for some time, Ted purchased the business and provide the best service in the industry. SERVPRO's extensive training programs combined with his 25 years of experience in restoration make Ted a Subject matter expert that you can trust.

Ted has successfully competed the following certification from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC): Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration (SRT), Odor Control, Commercial Carpet care, Journeyman Textile Cleaner, Bio-Hazard Clean Up, Severe Safety Training, and Applied Structural Drying (ASD).

On a daily basis, Ted communicates with insurance adjusters, insurance agents, and home/business owners to be sure that the the entire process moves forward smoothly and efficiently. As one of our owners, he personally monitors the progress of active jobs. Our clients can have confidence that they are in the best and most capable hands.

Ted and his wife are involved in their local Christian Schools with their 4 children. He enjoys fishing and grilling.

Mike Nitz

Hi! I'm Mike Nitz, the Business Development Representative at SERVPRO of Southeast Grand Rapids. I joined the team in 2020, bringing with me over 13 years of experience as a licensed insurance agent and 8.5 years in the fire and water restoration industry. My background also includes work in the Senior Care industry, where I focused on enhancing safety within the senior community.

In my role, I specialize in building and maintaining strong relationships with insurance and facilities professionals across our service area. I'm actively involved in events and seminars throughout greater Grand Rapids, where I educate the community on disaster prevention. I’m proud to be an active member of the Ada Business Association, Caledonia Chamber of Commerce, and South Kent Chamber of Commerce, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Gaines Township Chamber of Commerce.

The SERVPRO team of Southeast Grand Rapids understands the significant impact that fire or water damage can have on your home, business, and daily life. Our priority is to restore your property quickly and efficiently, minimizing both time and financial loss to help you get back to normal as soon as possible.

Nate Sinke

Nate Sinke is a Crew Chief at SERVPRO of Southeast Grand Rapids. Upon joining our Team in 2016 he completed our rigorous SERVPRO Employee Certification Training Program (ECTP). This program teaches advanced cleaning and restoration techniques and how to properly use our state-of-the-art equipment. This training program also focuses on listening skills and customer service.  In addition to ETCP training, Nate also holds the following certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC): Water Removal Technician, Bio-Hazard Clean Up, Severe Safety Training, and Applied Structural Drying (ASD).

You will find Nate making whatever setting he finds himself in better on a daily basis; whether that means taking care of an emergency situation, or monitoring the progress and positioning of our machines for maximum efficiency.  Nate brings a great attitude and extensive knowledge to each job.

Nate recently celebrated his 10th anniversary with his wife and has 2 kids.  He is an active bicyclist and enjoys family quality time sitting by camp fires.

Patty Ralya

We are thrilled to introduce Patricia Ralya as our Office Manager at SERVPRO of Southeast Grand Rapids. Patricia brings a wealth of experience to our team, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University. With over a decade of expertise in commercial site acquisition project management and real estate management for several large companies, Patricia is well-equipped to oversee our remediation and construction divisions.

In her role, Patricia will be instrumental in streamlining operations and ensuring smooth coordination between our teams. Her extensive background in project management will contribute significantly to our continued success.

Patricia has been happily married to her husband, Eric, for 18 years. They are proud parents to their son, Finnegan, and are actively involved in his football, basketball, and travel baseball activities. Outside of their busy schedule, the Ralya family enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time at their cottage. They are also the proud owners of a 5-month-old Cavapoo named Paisley-Jane.

We are excited to have Patricia on board and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to our team.

Brian Hurner

Brian Hurner is a Crew Chief at SERVPRO of Southeast Grand Rapids. Brian joined our Team in 2020. Brian brings several years of customer service in the restaurant management industry, and has been a great addition to our production team.

Doug Bilski

Doug is a experience carpenter, and joined SERVPRO of Southeastt Grand Rapids in 2022. He is a Project Manager on our Reconstruction Team. 

Doug has had his builder's license for about 20yrs. Doug built homes for several years, then started in restoration industry as a carpenter in 2008, eventually worked up to project manager and now project managing and estimating. Doug is married, and has 3 kids, 5 grand kids. Doug's hobbies are golfing, spending time at the family cottage, swimming off the pontoon with the grandkids and camping with his wife.

Kyle is one of our construction services managers here at SERVPRO of South and NW Grand Rapids. Kylie has several years in residential construction management in the West Michigan construction industry. We are pleased to have him as a part of our team

Don Evertt

In 2018, Don joined SERVPRO. His journey began in locations in West Michigan and then moving to Boston, Massachusetts. He returned to West Michigan and joining SERVPRO Southeast Grand Rapids in 2024. Don's career trajectory is a testament to his hard work and dedication, as he worked his way up from a technician to a crew leader, and eventually to a project manager. His expertise is further validated by his certifications as a Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and an Applied Structural Drying (ASD) professional, accredited by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC).

Don is a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corp.

Jack Nitz

Young-hearted and driven by a passion for service, Jack embodies a positive attitude in all he sets his mind to. Jack joined our SERVPRO team in June of 2024. With a deep love for dogs and a dedication to hard work, Jack finds joy in a variety of interests including gaming, golf, music, creative writing, and sketching. We are grateful to have Jack a part of our SERVPRO Southeast Grand Rapids team!

Simon Brummel

Simon is a dedicated individual, has spent most of his life working at SERVPRO. As a senior at Covenant Christian High School, he is eagerly planning to attend college. Simon's positive attitude and passion for service are evident in his daily life. He loves hard work, finding joy in boating, golf, and basketball. When not engaged in these activities, Simon cherishes spending quality time with family and friends. We are grateful for Simon's leadership and hard work at SERVPRO Southeast GRand Rapids.

Michael DeVries

Michael DeVries is a dedicated young man who has spent 3 summers working with SERVPRO. A Covenant Christian High School graduate, he is set to attend Cornerstone University to major in Business Administration. Michael has a passion for fishing, hunting, and both watching and playing sports. He is excited about his future and the opportunities that God has in store for him and SERVPRO.
